Review Guidelines
Last Modified on August 9, 2020
Please follow these guidelines to ensure everyone can benefit from a helpful, balanced and authentic community:
Your review should be truthful and reflect your own personal opinion and experience with your current or former college athletics program, the expectation is that you will stand behind the statements that you express in your content.
You are allowed one review, per college athletic program, per year. If you wish to update a review within a year, the newer review will be listed and the older review will be archived.
You are encouraged to think about your college athletic experience from different perspectives and include both pros and cons to share a balanced review—balanced reviews make for a better community experience, but are not required.
Reviews that name individual coaches of an athletic program are allowed, as long as the review describes the coach’s behaviour or performance only as it relates to the athletic program. We believe that this information is generally representative of an athletic program’s culture and can be informative to prospective recruits.
We do not allow reviews that include negative comments about identifiable individuals.
We realize that talking about your athletic experience can get emotionally charged, but we do not approve reviews that include certain profanities, threats of violence, or discriminatory language targeted at an individual or group. We may allow reviews that mention cultural background, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and the like if we believe the comment is used to describe an athletic program situation. General discussions of athletic program misconduct are allowed, including most discussions of illegal activities, discrimination, and sexual harassment.
To ensure privacy, we do not allow you to identify yourself or include any contact information (about yourself or others) in your reviews.
We reject reviews that do not relate to an athletic program, are only a review of the college, or are otherwise not relevant to understanding an athletic program’s culture. We will reject any content meant as an advertisement or containing a web link.
All reviews should be original with no substantial quoting from other sources, including (but not limited to): websites, e-mail correspondence, other reviews, etc.
Your review will be rejected if it includes excessive capitalization or filler words/characters—and remember, your review will be more credible if good grammar, spelling and punctuation are used.
