It was a very morale-boosting and fun environment but the athletes were often left to their own devices because of scheduling and lack of coaching staff.
Great school environment and amazing team composition and chemistry. Although a smaller D1, the drive to be competitive as a school was very high.
Lack of built out coaching staff led to a lot of teaching yourself. The coach gave you a plan for the day and was often helping another group while you were left to teach yourself (hurdles)/ be in a team-coaching environment.
Hire more staff or find more volunteers that are knowledgeable in every group (hurdles, sprints, mid-distance) so that they are well equipped to answer any questions and help in tough practices
