Incredible community that extends far beyond the University. Boise is an incredible city that loves and supports their athletes. The school provided as many resources as possible to ensure your health, safety and encouraging your passions.


It’s definitely a commitment. You have to be willing to buy in for the best of the team and dedicate yourself and there will be times that you’re pushed to your limit and that can be tough. You have to become comfortable with being uncomfortable. It can also be really difficult when you have a head coach change and the incoming coach doesn’t match the culture that’s been built — rather than talk and work with the leaders to update the culture and work for the better of the team, they tried to micromanage everything

Advice to the coaching staff...

To create the culture that you want, there needs to be open collaboration with your leaders of the team and a mutual trust that is built up over time. The true buy in comes when a team trusts the culture
