Being a student comes with many highs but at the same time many lows, I was able to grow as an athlete but also as a person in general.
While under Coach Maness, I was given the opportunity to excel as both a person and an athlete. I was able to become a better leader on and off the field as well as growing into the woman I am today.
While I am forever thankful for the opportunity Kennesaw State gave me there are some cons. I believe that not only at my previous university but at many people need to have faith in the process. Not only in the athletics aspect but also in the academic process. But without the challenges that I faced I would not be where I am today, and while that was a negative I am very thankful.
Thanks to the current coaching staff I was able to really enjoy and excel my senior year. They are very understanding of the different problems student-athletes face and are there to guide you in the right direction. On the other hand I would have to say have a better transition from starting roster and practice squad. At times it was hard for those on the practice squad to get solid rep because there was so much focus on the starting roster. You never know when the next man has to go in the game for them to feel prepared it would be more than useful.
